She’s the author of There Goes Lowell’s Party, Chicken Soup by Heart, Fancy That, and a gorgeous new picture book coming out in Fall 2009 with Sleeping Bear Press titled S is for Story: A Writer’s Alphabet. “Esther is one of the most knowledgable and helpful people in our profession. Not only does she have a huge reputation as a brilliant writing coach, but she is also a personal source of inspiration and encouragement for myself and countless writers who dare to write for children. I am blessed to know her! I have also seen her forthcoming picture book S is for Story–it belongs in every classroom and library in America. Simply well-conceived, beautifully written and illustrated. It’s a book both adults and children can enjoy equally together as they explore the world of story one letter at a time.” -Cynthea Liu
