Neil Armstrong is My Uncle Prize Pack by Nan Marino

As a writer and a librarian, I care because I believe that literacy promotes life-long learning, reading opens doors and stories have the power to transform and to heal.

The DarerNan Marino spent her childhood daydreaming in oak trees and on top of garage roofs in the town of Massapequa, New York. Coincidentally Massapequa is the setting for her debut middle grade novel Neil Armstrong is My Uncle and Other Lies Muscle Man McGinty Told Me published by Roaring Brook Press (May 2009). A librarian who lives at the Jersey shore with her husband and a very quirky dog, Nan still spends her time daydreaming, but mostly now it’s from the ground, staring out at the Barnegat Bay.
