PB or 5 Page Novel Critique from Editor Kristin Daly, Balzer & Bray, HarperCollins

The Prize: One critique of your fiction picture book (1000 words max.) or the first five double-spaced pages  or your middle grade or young adult novel.

The Darer: Kristin Daly first became interested in children’s books as a career in high school, when she worked in her local public library shelving—and often covertly reading!—books in the children’s room. Her first publishing job was as an Editorial Assistant at Golden Books, where she worked on picture books, series fiction, and the Road to Reading line. In January 2002, she began working at HarperCollins, where she has been for the past seven years and counting. In May 2008 she joined the team at Harper’s newest imprint, Balzer & Bray. Kristin edits a range of children’s titles, from picture books through young adult.

The Dare: Place a minimum bid of $35 by leaving a comment, then outbid the highest bidder until you win!  Value: Priceless. *All winners must take the solemn critiquee oath.*
