Morris Award for a YA debut novel; Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit by Nahoko Uehashi, translated by Cathy Hirano, winner of the Mildred L. Batchelder Award for a book in translation; Millicent Min, Girl Genius, and four other novels by Lisa Yee; and Marcelo in the Real World, by Francisco X. Stork.
